On September 14th, the LAFCO commision voted 5-3 to reject the applicaiton by the Fallbrook Public Utility District to take over Rainbow MWD.   About 150 ratepayers came down to show their support for Rainbow and many spoke to the Commissioners.   In a hearing that lasted nearly three hours the Commission weighed the options carefully and came to the right decision.   

We want to thank all of our ratepayers who wrote letters and came to meetings related to this matter.   The principle of local control won the day .  Without the steadfast support of our ratepayers the outcome likely would have been very different.
